About the book: When Caroline Auden lands a job at a top law firm in Los Angeles, she’s excited for the challenge—and grateful for the chance to put her dark past as a computer hacker behind her. Right away, her new boss asks her to research whether a popular GMO is causing healthy people to fall ill. Caroline's supposed to dig in the trenches and report up the ladder, but her tech background and intuition take her much further than planned. When she suspects a link between the death of a prominent scientist and the shadowy biotech giant, she calls foul and soon finds herself in the crosshairs. The clock is ticking and thousands of lives are on the line - including suddenly, her own.

About the author: For fifteen years, Cindy has been an appellate attorney, handling cases in the California courts of appeal and Supreme Court. After graduating from UC Berkeley and attending law school there, she moved to Los Angeles, where she now lives with her wife and their three children. DOUBT is her first novel in a series featuring Caroline Auden. She is also the author of Inside the Loop, published by Emet Comics.
